The innovatively crafted burr chamber enables swift and efficient coffee dosing, boasting remarkably low retention even in the absence of bellows utilization. Unlike numerous other single-dose grinders, where a substantial amount tends to linger in the chamber necessitating bellows employment for removal, the DF83 exhibits remarkably minimal residue without bellows assistance. While we recommend employing the bellows at the conclusion of each grinding session with the burrs still in motion to uphold optimal cleanliness within the burr chamber, this action is typically associated with negligible residue removal.

Hopper Compatibility

Should you opt for a more traditional approach or intend to grind a larger coffee volume, such as for cold brew or commercial use, the DF83 offers the flexibility of being used with a hopper.

Wave Spring Washer Mechanism

Diverging from the spring-based configuration employed in the DF64, the Turin DF83 employs an innovative wave spring washer. This choice suits the broader design of the DF83 more effectively. The top burr removal process with the wave spring washer involves a straightforward unscrewing of the top burr collar.

Elegantly Painted Aluminum Body

The DF83 showcases a premium aesthetic with its meticulously painted high-quality aluminum body, available in both black and white finishes. While reminiscent of the design seen in Turin’s DF64E or DF64P models, this finish sets the DF83 apart from the original Turin DF64, which boasts a vinyl-wrapped aluminum construction.

As seen across all Turin DF64 iterations, the DF83 model includes a holder capable of accommodating a dosing cup or a 58mm portafilter. The dosing cup, crafted from durable plastic, is supplemented by a metal dosing cup alternative.
